Sarah Berman, aka SarahJoyScribe, is a New York-based calligrapher, illuminator, graphic designer, and photographer. She has a worldly aesthetic, and a special fondness for visual metaphor. She loves to use historical and traditional styles (not just Western but other traditions too!) and techniques to express modern sentiments, usually with a generous helping of snark.

When not painting, calligraphing, designing, or photographing, you can find her trying to pet your dog or cat.
